# Staking via Direct Deposit

Let’s go through the steps:

1. Head to the [Singularity App](https://app.thesingularity.network/staking)

* You can toggle between what blockchain you want as indicated in the following image:

2\. Ensure on the left-hand side you have selected: **“Compliant Staking”** as indicated in the following image:

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*vFe0l-iXIGcPtwEM8-th_A.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* As you can see there are two ways to commence Compliant Staking: 1. “Deposit from Wallet” and 2. “Use Private Note”

3\. In this case we are going to do it via Direct Deposit with from your KYC or KYB-verified Wallet” *P.S. This is the easiest way to begin to earn reward points and acquire sgTokens.*

4\. Ensure you have selected: “**Deposit from Wallet”** as indicated by the image below

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*vZUFApY0uCBckiJCv7J66A.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5\. Singularity allows you to stake either ETH, USDC, or USDT. To stake you need to have one of these assets in your wallet whether it is on **Arbitrum or Ethereum.**

6\. Please click “Select” as indicated by the image below:

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*o1pWXJR9-0VkD7FqC7_qVA.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

7\. Now select the desired asset you want to stake with. The image below will appear once you click **“Select”**

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*nsdZpBLkszeWgTKhtDNR0w.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

8\. In this scenario, I am going to select Tether (USDT) since I have USDT in my wallet. As you can see in the image below Singularity displays how much USDT I have in my wallet.

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*GwQu8vldtNTbb1FTzbx1kw.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

9\. Now on the right side type in the desired amount you want to **Deposit and Stake/Lock.** I have entered in 2 USDT.

<figure><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*irdjaG8ysdV9HbXo4QuW-g.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

10\. Click continue

11\. Sign the transaction that appears via your connected wallet

12\. The following image will appear and this is where you can store your staked tokens within Singularity via Private Notes.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/dmkWqgYyGUVovYgKG40N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
*What are Private Notes?*\
\
*Tl;dr on notes is they allow users to use the blockchain without people knowing it comes from your wallet address.*

*It’s vital you download the **Txt file** and more importantly click **“Store in note Mgmt”***

*If you haven’t already, please download the Google Chrome extension: **Notes Management Tool** for the safekeeping and easy management of these private notes.*

***You can do so*** [***here***](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/singularity-notes-tool/fmgbckigpeejhndcdmlhaopjmcgapkfm)***.***&#x20;

*The most important part of earning reward points is the staking so whether it is stored in the Google Chrome extension: Notes Management Tool or in your wallet by withdrawing (which we will get to) you will start the clock on earning reward points.*
{% endhint %}

13\. Once you **download txt file** and store it in the **Notes Management Tool,** please select proceed with staking at the bottom right.

14\. If done correctly, head to the **Notes Management Tool** Google Chrome extension and you will see the amount you just staked as indicated in the image below:

Now that you have successfully staked via the Direct Deposit method and are earning Singularity reward points, you have two options on what you can do next:

1. Do nothing and let it sit and accrue reward points. \[TRACKER COMING SOON]
2. Withdraw and use it in permissionless pools where sgTokens are supported \[COMING SOON].
