# Earning and Tracking Points

Darkswap uses a **points system** to reward users who contribute meaningful **liquidity and trading volume** to the darkpool on EVM chains.

**Points are not a token.**\
They are an **off-chain accounting unit** and may be used in the future for:

* Fee tier discounts
* Reward programs
* Ecosystem incentives
* Other utility-based mechanisms

## **How You Earn Points**

### **1. Trading on DarkSwap**

You earn points based on **executed trading volume** within the darkpool.

Key rules:

* **Both buys and sells count** toward your volume.
* **Both makers and takers** earn points (multipliers may differ per role).
* Specific **assets, pairs, or order types** may receive higher multipliers during promotional periods.

This ensures that points reflect **real, meaningful trading activity**.

### **2. Campaigns and Ecosystem Programs**

From time to time, Darkswap will run special campaigns on EVMs, such as:

* **New pair launch campaigns**
* **Cross-protocol collaborations**
* **Volume races or liquidity competitions**

Each campaign defines:

* **Start and end time**
* **Eligible actions**
* **Point formulas, multipliers, and caps**
* **Bonuses or tiered rewards**, if applicable

These programs incentivize early participation and ecosystem growth.

## **Tracking Points**

You can track your:

* **Total points**
* **Daily updates**
* **Leaderboard position**

via the **Dashboard**, which is refreshed **daily** [here](https://darkswap.thesingularity.network/?utm_source=Gitbook\&utm_medium=link\&utm_campaign=Gitbook).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://singularityzk.gitbook.io/singularity/darkswap-onchain-darkpool/darkswap-overview-mainnet/earning-and-tracking-points.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
